Editorial Wedding Photography

Your day, told as a quiet, complete story.

A Scotland-based studio led by Dom Ibbotson — photographing weddings calmly and unobtrusively across the Highlands, Islands and beyond.

The Approach

Recorded as it happened — never staged into an idea.

Dom works with minimal direction and careful attention to light, place and the people within a day. Whether the celebration is large or intimate, the focus stays on observation and strong composition, drawing on a background in print journalism and over twenty-one years photographing Scottish weddings.

He is a recommended supplier for many of Scotland's leading venues and estates. The studio stays intentionally small: Dom photographs every wedding personally, from first enquiry through to the final gallery.

If we could give 10 stars, we absolutely would! We are huge fans of Duke Scotland. Dom and Robbie photographed our wedding, and hiring them was hands-down the best decision we made. We cannot recommend Duke Scotland enough.

Wow, where to start! Dom and Robbie were brilliant — they went above and beyond for us and I will forever be grateful. Not only did they make us feel at ease, they helped with things well outside of expectations.

Dom was our wedding photographer and we couldn't recommend him enough! We had a couple of calls before the wedding to discuss the photos we wanted, which put our minds at ease. He worked so hard from start to finish to capture our day perfectly. You'll be in safe hands with Dom / Duke!

An absolutely brilliant experience right from the first email! The photos are absolutely amazing. Robbie captured the day so beautifully — every single emotion we all felt, and he didn't miss anything. We can't thank you enough.
